It does not save the earth.

The earth will be here long after we are all dead and gone and the human species is extinct.

It is US that it will save from extinction.

  • beautiful song… i wish i could sing as soulfull as him

  • I worked in the grocery store for awhile, and I see some people say 100s of dollars its crazy.. You definatly need to watch the weekly ads and make that weeks dinner around it. Cut out coupons, look for coupons online even. Keep track of prices you pay for certain items, because sometimes at the store we do sell things 10/$10..when really that item usually cost 99cents and you are actually spending more than usual. You are doing good with buying in bulk for items you use alot, also try to buy nonpersiable in bulk also.

If you have a USB drive or stick, just plug it in and when you scan, you can select where to save to.
Choose the external drive or the plugged in USB device. You can save it.

If I can save and scan to a network computer, I can save to any other devices. It will work

Gif is fine. Its biggest advantage is that almost every platform and operating system support it. You don't have to install new software to read your files. pdf is not bad option if you want to make e-books, i.e. you want to combine papers related to a document together. But of course you need pdf creator and reader to work with that.

You can zip the files to get extra space. ZIP format is supported by almost every platform and operating system

  • First you have to do a budget. Find out what you're spending money on. Once you have everything listed, cut out what you really don't need. Save what's left over.

Try and get your cash flow (what's left over) positive and as high as possible then save it all. Working overtime or taking odd jobs can add to your cash flow.

Make the money work for you. Make sure you at least put the money in a high APY savings account. There are several out there and they are easy to set up. Links to them are below.

    Specific Money Saving Tips
    1. Gas – Don't drive aggressively. Keep your tires properly inflated and your car in tune.

    2. Home energy – In winter put on a sweatshirt and put your thermostat on 68. In summer, dress like your outside and put your A/C on 72 or higher and use ceiling fans if you have them. Use florescent bulbs wherever possible and always turn off lights when not in immediate use.

    3. Shopping – Price compare online whenever possible. At the grocery store, use generic brands. Most of them contain the same ingredients. Use coupons.

  • I agree, there is no good in saving if you don't know what you want. BUT, what's even worse is, wasting money and later finding a better place to spend it.

If you think you're unhappy saving money, you should ask "would spending money on ___________ (hot dogs, shoes, tv) make me happy"?

If you're happy now with what you have, I would still encourage saving until you find something you like to spend it on later.

    Here's a few
    1. Retirement
    2. risk of job loss
    3. insurance or your own medical, legal expenses
    4. Travel

There's no shortage of ways to waste money, so I'd just keep saving until the "right" way to spend comes along, things are MUCH MUCH WORSE for people today who have debt, no savings and no job. You'll be happy one day you need money.

savings accounts are just one of the tools that you need to use. They are great for accumulating funds, but not much good for making money. I really do not know the best investment. I do know some good ones though. The investment that would be right for you would depend on the amount of risk you would like to assume. For many people a mutual fund or several different mutual funds are an excellent way to invest. There are thousands of different ones and hundreds of different types. One of my favorites is sold by Royce Funds. It is PENNX. They have a site on the internet where you can learn more about them. I believe they have a minimum investment of $2000. American funds does not have such a high minimum, only $250 but it does have a front end sales charge of 5.75%. That is offset somewhat by very low expenses. You can find them on the internet also.

There are also index funds that are traded like stocks. You can buy them by opening an account with Sharebuilder.com. They charge $4.00 per transaction.

Here is a site where you can find out all about the different ones available.

There is risk associated with investing in mutual funds. You need to be aware of that. Some years they actually loose money, but if you are patient over the long term they tend to average about 10% annual return. Some do much better and some not so good. CDs only currently average about 5%.

  • well like you said eating cheap is key! If you really want to eat a bigger meal have it at lunch it will be cheaper than the dinner prices!

try to eat a "breakfast" in your room. Like Pop tarts or a banana or apple, this will save you a lot of money!

Carry small snacks for you throughout the day and this will keep you from spending 4$ on a snack that you can carry in and hold you through!

Buy water out side of the parks if you can! This way your not spending 2.50 a bottle when you can get a case for like 4$.

Good snacks I would say are like fruit snacks and granola bars. Things that you can carry with you and not melt/spoil!

if your room has a fridge you can buy string cheese and yogurt and milk and have these in the rooms for breakfast and snacks. you could also get a loaf of bread and peanut butter for sandwiches. Peanut butter will keep you full and this way you can have that "Breakfast" I was talking about!! (this is what I did my last trip and it saved me a lot of money eating yogurt and a slice of bread with peanut butter on it for break fast, then I wasn't STARVING come lunch and could eat a smaller lunch.
